My wife, Analia, and I met in North Carolina 18 years ago when we were both working for the Pasquotank county school District. We are the definition of a multicultural family. We speak several languages, have relatives around the globe and our passports have to be renewed all the time because we constantly run out of pages.

Our first baby girl, born in 2008, was named Ailana in honor of her mom. (Ailana is Analia spelled backwards.) Two years later she was joined by her brother Luca in honor of the city of Lucca in Italy (where we spent part of our honeymoon)

Analia and I are both passionate about education and wherever we go we know that we are there to make a difference in the lives of our students, who over the years have become part of our family.
